Shy Cristiano Ronaldo has found the perfect name for his mystery baby.

He’s decided to call the little lad Cristiano Ronaldo.

But yesterday there was still no clue to the identity of the mum. Family of the Portugal and Real Madrid striker confessed: “We don’t know her.” Ronaldo’s mum Dolores and sister Katia took a break from babysitting to toast the new arrival with pink champagne.

Talking for the first time since Ronaldo, 25, announced he had become a father, Katia said: “The baby is at our home here on the Algarve. We’re looking after him while Cristiano is away in Madrid. He’s called Cristiano Ronaldo.

It’s been a big week for soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. First his Portugal side was knocked out of the World Cup by arch-rivals Spain, then rather bizarrely, the 25-year old released a statement via his Facebook that he had fathered a child to a mysterious mother.

-

“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship. No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.”

The revelation attracted a staggering 26,800 written comments on Facebook and more than 62,000 “likes”,  from his Facebook fans.

Gossip columns went crazy! Baby momma dramas!…Had he done a Tiger and knocked up a poor unsuspecting Las Vegas showgirl?? Was he still with his newest swimwear paramour???

Ronaldo offered no other explanation or indication of who the mother might be of his first child. His girlfriend, underwear model Irina Shayk, made a similar announcement on her own Facebook page, though she is not the mother.

Then the even more bizarre twist! Long time gay rumors have swirled around the star, and it appears the star has gone and “done a Ricky Martin” and paid an American woman to have his baby, as reported by a Portuguese newspaper and later by London’s The Daily Mail.

As Ronaldo has declared he will retain full custody of the baby boy (who was born on June 17) perhaps this explains his appearance at exclusive members-only haunt Soho House on July the 4th?

As always GofaG was there, and we can report no diapers, Tiffany baby rattles or Baby Bjorn’s, just a super sexy soccer star doing what he does best, sunning in the sun with not one but two beautiful beauties to occupy his time.

GofaG even manged some talking time to find out when he flew in (“Yesterday”) and how long he was here for (“Two weeks”). He is in NYC for another week, then off to Miami. Wonder if he will bring home a bouncing bundle of future hotness on his return flight back to Portugal?

Spain defender Sergio Ramos is in confident mood ahead of their second round showdown with Portugal – but concedes that to stop their rivlas they must stop Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tournament favourites Spain face the 2006 semi-finalists on Tuesday evening in Cape Town and, despite the quality Portugal possess, Ramos is delighted Spain managed to top their group after losing their first match to Switzerland.

“We hope the trouble we had in the group stage will make Spain a stronger team,” he told Marca. “We are pleased with our performances so far and happy to have finished top in the group after the start we had.”

“Portugal are a great team and they are in top form. I am looking forward to playing against team-mates and friends Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe. Let’s see if we can make it to the quarter-finals.”

Ramos, who will come into direct combat with Ronaldo, believes that the key to beating Portugal lies in how well he can deal with the Real Madrid number nine.

“Cristiano is very fast, strong and a speedster with the ball at his feet. I have to prevent him from receiving the ball and we must stop him from having a lot of room to work with.”

Ramos’ team-mate Xavi also revealed he will be using advice passed on by Barcelona coach Pepe Guardiola to help deal with Ronaldo. Barca beat Real Madrid 1-0 at the Nou Camp and 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu last season.

“I remember perfectly (what Guardiola told us),” the midfielder told Marca. “He told us to be careful with the balls played to him (Ronaldo) from deep and which he could run onto at speed.

“He told us to only allow him to receive short passes to feet and we had to mark him with help from team-mates, and cover each other, but never let passes be played to him from deep. That kills you. We marked him pretty well in both games.”

Xavi believes Portugal will sit back and look to hit Spain on the break with the pace of Ronaldo. “They will get men back, they will allow us to dominate and they will look for the speed of Cristiano, of Simao (Sabrosa),” he said.

“Physically they are a strong team. Not only have they not let in a goal at the World Cup, but in their recent games they have only let in three – they are hard and aggressive.”

Xavi says Spain have the right personnel at the back to stop Ronaldo, but has warned his team-mates that Portugal are not a one-man team.

“Between (Gerard) Pique, Puyi (Carles Puyol) and Sergio (Ramos) he shouldn’t be able to break free, but we must not become obsessed with him – Portugal is not just Ronaldo,” he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo is known with his intense competitive streak and work ethic. Since the age of 3, football is become his life. And not just technique, he managed to keep it more professional with countless workouts and strict diet.

Against Mallorca this week, he made his first hat-trick, and he clearly showed the world that he’s not just come in pretty package, but skills is become his best asset. Now €80 million didn’t seem too much for all his efforts in becoming the best player in the world.

“It’s a fair figure,”he said, commenting on his expensive signing to Real Madrid. “I’m happy to be the most expensive player in the world. I’m going to try to do everything to play very well and I will show that the money they are paying for me has been a good decision.”

With 6’1 and 182 lbs., Cristiano is one of the leanest, fastest and fittest athletes in the world. Plus, not bad too look at. Despite already become one of the best football player and has achieve the greatness level in his career, he has no intention of lowering his effort.

“I want to get better and better,” he says.”My ambition is huge.” He’s not easy to get satisfy, thats why other player looked up to him as a role model. Even with lots of bad press and gossip on him, he still manages to perform well on the field.

Recently, Real Madrid captain, Raul praised him, and called him down-to-earth and very nice. “Cristiano is super-nice, and very hardworking. Since the first time I saw him on the field, I knew that I should work harder. For me, he’s the new leader for the team”

He also added,”He’s a professional, the club did the right thing on settling a high prize on him.” Looks like Raul has no problem in passing his captain position to his junior if he leaves Los Blancos.

So, does Cristiano worth €80 million ?? I’d say he’s worth more than that.

Real star getting £900k for three hours’ work

By Dan King, 08/05/2010

CRISTIANO RONALDO will be paid a staggering £900,000 for three hours’ work in a bid to prove he’s the world’s greatest player.

The Portuguese superstar is the latest to sign up for A:3K Football, a £10million gladiator-style test of skill at the 02 Arena on July 17.

Less than a week after the World Cup Final, Ronaldo will battle it out with Steven Gerrard, Didier Drogba, Cesc Fabregas and David Villa in a series of challenges.

They include A:3K Attack which sees the players locked in a perspex cage with six goals and two balls, trying to score as many times as possible.

The event is expected to be played in front of 15,000 fans at the O2 with ITV showing highlights.

David Beckham’s former right-hand man, Terry Byrne, has helped organise the event and persuade the world’s leading lights to compete.

He said: “We can officially confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo will be a competitor in this year’s A:3K event.

“We have already confirmed that Drogba, Fabregas, Gerrard and Villa will also be competing on that one night at the O2.

“One more football superstar will complete the line-up – we expect to be able to confirm that name this week.”

Russell Crowe admitted that he is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, during his visits to Valdebebas yesterday, 29 April 2010. He came to Spanish for promoting his new movie “Robin Hood” where he played and produced.

“I was definitely looking forward to meeting Ronaldo because obviously he is one of the best players to have ever played the game,” the Oscar winner told the club’s television station.

Crowe, who has a passionate for football, added,” I always check out La Liga table to see where Barcelona and Real Madrid stand, you have a great team.”

And after watching the practice match pitchside, Crowe was able to meet several Madridistas. Sporting Director Miguel Pardeza was the first to shake the Gladiator’s hand, as Crowe showed his own talent with the ball. Later on, he made his way to the gym, where he met and had his picture taken with Arbeloa,Raul, Pepe and Guti. He gave each players a baseball cap of his South Sydney Rabbitohs, an Australian Rugby team that he owns, while he received a Real Madrid shirt with his name emblazoned on the back with number “1″.

The most anticipated moment of the visit is when the actor met Cristiano Ronaldo. He had a small conversation with the Real Madrid star, taken pictures together, and their moments together ended Crowe’s whirlwind trip to Spanish capital.

“It was fun man. Obviously Real Madrid is a legendary club.”

And I added new photos from this meeting, from an interview for COPE and photos from training session to gallery.

Cristiano Ronaldo is satisfied with the way he has played since joining Real Madrid last summer.

Expectations could hardly have been higher after the Portugal international moved from Manchester United for a world record-breaking transfer fee of £80million.

Real might finish the season without a major trophy after making a surprise early exit from the UEFA Champions League, while they also trail Barcelona by one point in the Primera Liga with four games to play.

But Ronaldo has reflected with pride on his own personal performances over the course of the campaign, despite spending a period on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

“I am very happy with my season at Real Madrid,” he told the Portuguese press.

“If I had not suffered the injury with a two-month gap this could have been my best year as a professional.

“In a league like Spain it is not easy to start with 20 goals and seven assists.

“After the injury against Marseille I missed 12 matches but with confidence and hard work I have returned to a good level.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is so famous, people want to make news about him, good or bad.

But when it comes to reporting false news about him, he will not tolerate it, not even one story.

Yes, right now he is obsessed with protecting his image. In fact, he ordered his legal team to work with Garrigues, a law firm in Madrid, to take care of any interference in his honor, reputation, and image, as it was done with Telecinco.

It has been reported that Telecinco had made a false statement about Cristiano having a party with his fellow teammate at his house before and after El Clasico. It quite ruined his professional credibility as a footballer.

Friends and relatives who know him well had explained that he is 100 percent devoting his life to football. His obsession is to become a legend and the best player in the world.

He put a lot of effort into becoming what he is now, and it shows every day.

“If he attends a social event and he takes a bite of chocolate, it means the next day is half an hour in the gym,” says one of his close friend.

“He will try to be careful for not messing with all the efforts he made,” he added.

Cristiano wants to protect his career from bad press. Therefore, he decided to adopt a “zero tolerance” policy if the news falsely attacks him directly.

But the rumors about him partying with Paris Hilton on late June 2009 were exceptional. He said that he was on a vacation at that time, and it was during preseason.

So what about his latest gossip with Naya? We heard Kim denying his possible relationship with him, but we haven’t heard any comments from him about Naya’s confession. Could it be true, then?

WE take a peak into the world of Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s most expensive footballer.

The Real Madrid star may have departed these shores to ply his trade for Real Madrid but we’re still able to find out what he gets up to away from the pitch.

CRIB

IT is rumoured that Real Madrid’s star man spent £8million on his well-guarded, cutting edge 36-room mansion, located in Madrid’s La Finca estate.

It has seven bedrooms, a cinema room with surround sound, an ordinary pool and a whirlpool. Just a shame it looks like a Lego building.

His neighbours include team-mates Raul and Sergio Ramos.

BLING

OUR favourite winker just loves his watches.

They include a Cartier Santos 100 Diamond, a Hublot, two Rolex Daytonas and a £130,000 deLaCour number.

But his most prized bling is his mother of pearl rosary beads.

STYLE

PORTUGESE star Ronaldo is as adept at posing as he is at scoring and proved it when he took David Beckham’s old job as Armani poster boy. Also promotes his own boutique brand CR7 (CR9 in Spain), which is headed up by his sister Elma Aveiro in Madeira.

He wears his own brand of baseball caps and those painfully snug trunks he so frequently gets papped in on the beach.
HOBBIES

CHAMPIONS League loser Ronnie is still a winner with the ladies.

In Manchester he had relationships with Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson and Nereida Gallardo.

On one of his regular trips to LA he got cosy with socialite Paris Hilton.

The playboy is currently single but can be found partying in top Madrid hotspot Joy Madrid every week.
WHEELS

WHEN it comes to wheels, he’s had them all.

He used to race around in one of the world’s fastest cars, a Bugatti Veyron. But he had a scare last January when he wrote off his Ferrari 599 in a tunnel crash. He also tried his hand with the classics when he purchased a Rolls-Royce.

Now he drives a Bentley Supersport.
